Sat here with phone charging and I hear this bizarre beeping! Pick phone up and on screen it says MOISTURE DETECTED! UNPLUG CHARGER!. I’ve never ever seen that before in my life.

I never heard of it either. But it sounds like a good thing.
Mine does it all the time. It's very annoying.
^ When you're in the bath?
As a matter of interest what phones are they please?

This is a Samsung S7
Mine's a Samsung too. Altho no idea of the model.
Sony Experia have been doing it for years, a lot of mobile phone makers now use the 'moisture detected' warning, if you pop your phone into some rice it should dry in half hour, that's what mostr people do, just to say, I seen this advice given to someone once on a forum and they came back absolutely raging as they put it in a bag of cooked rice ... make sure the rice is not cooked ;)
I've never had that either (was Samsung now Huawei) but when I had a Hudl tablet I was always getting the warning "throttling brightness due to thermal event" which certainly freaked me out the first time - mainly because I had no idea what it was on about and sounded dramatic.
Prudie, I have a Huawei, no, different companies
I know! I meant I used to have a Samsung phone but now I have a Huawei, never saw that message on my Samsung.
I think it's a new feature, I too have huawei, I dont have that moisture thing on mine, my fave feature is the Do Not Disturb :)
Ooop, just realised I already told you my phone ha, sorry
Thanks for the replies. I have never experienced that type of message on my I phones but the wife got one about her Ipad heating up in the sun on holiday.
