Anybody got any user information on aol broadband?

I saw that they were not listed in a recent which survey, have they dropped out of the top 10?

the kind of data I am interested in is

what kind of download speeds do you get (also of relevance of course is the package you are on, silver, gold, platinum)

are those speeds consistent

what kind of reliability is there in the service being available (getting connected)

what kind of reliability is there on staying online as opposed to spurious disconnects

also, maybe you would tell me who your phone service provider is, I am on BT so will find it of interest to see if there are any variations

any other comments gratefully received!

I am on AOL silver broadband and BT. I pay 18 a month for unlimited broadband and dont have any problems with it. There is a very occasional time where I will get kicked of but I lthink that is more likely to be the pages I am going on (eg some profiles on myspace) download times are quite good. I have never had any problem getting connected.

hi mycats, thanks for the reply, I am tempted by the silver service, dont feel my use would justify any more cash outlay, but I do use the net to support downloads for pc upgrades.
what kind of download speeds do you get, in Kbps, please? (I know these continually vary even during a download, but am interested in whether its more like 5 kbps than 500 bps): as always, any info gratefully received.
