A small rock is heated and placed in a foam cup calorimeter containing 20.0 mL of water at 25*C. The water reaches a maximum temperature of 27.2*C. How many joules of heat are released by the rock? if someone could just comment how to do these questions or a link to a video thank you

This is not something you woke up one day thinking "I wonder ...". Wherever you got your inspiration - a textbook, a teacher, an online question site - that would be a good place to seek enlightenment.
Ok. Supposing you get your answer from people on the internet and hand in your work and it is deemed satisfactory. What about when this question comes up in your next exam? You need to LEARN this stuff. Do you actually want a qualification or are you just winging your way through your coursework because you are under pressure from your parents? We can take it from there.
charlotte still looks in regularly but hasn't asked anything new for a few weeks so I hope this is a sign that she is more confident with the science aspects now, maybe thanks to our help early on.
20ml of water has a mass of 22g
Temperature change = 2.2 degrees C/K
Then use the same formula we gave on your previous questions.
(You need to use the specific heat capacity of water. Your rext book/notes should tell you that to change the temperature of 1g of water by 1 degree Celsius, it takes 1 calorie or close to 4.2 joules).
I can remember this stuff from nearly 50 years ago so once you get familiar with it it should stick with you for at least the duration of your course
Sorry 20ml of water has a mass of 20g (sticky keypad)
