My fridge ices up so quickly, I mean thick ice within a few days on the back wall. I have cleaned out the drain, so don't know what else I can try. I have noticed a couple of cracks on the walls so maybe this is contributing? It is old but is working ok, its just the icing up is getting worse. Thanks in advance
this happened on my fridge freezer. I never knew but the cold air in the fridge comes from the freezer, there is a vent in the back with a sensor and a valve. Over time the sensor and valve will freeze and the valve will either stick open or shut so you either get too much cold air or not enough. All you need to do is empty your freezer and remove the back panel. You will see where it has frozen and all you do is boil a kettle and let the steam melt the ice.
Thankyou all for your answers. My fridge and freezer are combined and also an integral appliance. I will have to try and take the doors off to remove it to get to the back as suggested. Wish me luck :)
