i was bullied loads at school its a horrible experiance and i dont think you realy understand how nasty it is unless youve had it. mine stopped when i lost it one day when the ring leader was pushing and shoving me, smacked them one (or maybe quite a few) after that i didnt have any more trouble. i hate any kind of bullying it makes my blood boil and i think teachers should take it more seriously than some do.
I allowed myself to be bullied at school from primary school right up until near the end of 6th form. The last time it happend I was being half-strangled from behind & it was even worse than the usual beating I put up with. Something came over me & I stabbed my pencil into the guy's hand. The lead snapped off & there was a collective sharp intake of breath from everyone in the common room. I too held my breath as I expected this to result in an even bigger thrashing - - - but nothing happened. The bully was shown to be the big coward that ALL bullies are.
That precise moment will stay with me for the rest of my life. Suddenly, everything everyone had ever said to me about standing up for myself seemed so obvious & easy! I have never been scared of bullies since then and have been a confident, self-assured person ever since.
I often wonder how my life would have turned out if I hadn't hit back that afternoon. If I had been bullied in the workplace I couldn't have solved the problem by thumping someone.

I was bullied for pretty much my entire school years, give or take a few months here and there. I didn't really deal with it. It became a way of life. I only lived about 100 metres from the school gates (primary school was even less than that), but had to be escorted home by a teacher or older pupil for about 3 years during secondary school. I fought back on occasion, if ever they were stupid to try attacking me one-on-one, but it was usually 13-on-one, so I had no chance. It stopped when I was in my second-last year at school, when all the neds had already left school to have 498265 children and scab off the social.
CLOWN TICKLE, yes do go on and tell us what happened about the bullying. The 3 pronged attack sounds intriguing!
Sorry also to hear your Mother in Law is so ill. It is really nice that you both got on so well, and I'm sure it made life happier
for you both. Sadly, in many marriages it is not the case that in-laws get on well together.

The reason people bully is because you are getting upset.
It is not because of what they are teasing you about, it is the fact that they can see that is either hurts or angers you.
In order to make bullying going away, they have to see that you are okay with it... then it isn't fun anymore.
