if you had to put all the movies you know into categories, what would those categories be?

Just 2. The first is all the movies I would happily sit down and watch with a bowl of popcorn, box of chocs and bottle of wine, the second is all the rest.

weeeeell,ok. but if somebody asked you about your favourite movie ever, wouldn't you have to say: ok, in this category it's this, in this category it's this.....? that's the kind of category i'm talking about.

Agree with kags to some extent but if you insist - Funniest (Blazing Saddles); Best Sci-Fi (2001-A Space Odyssey).

all the movies I know???? that would be thousands.....so you'd have Horror, Sci-Fi, Romance, Comedy, Martial Arts, Foreign Language, Film Noir, Action/Adventure, Documentary....I've missed a few I'm sure but that's a start.

Drama, Children, Comedy, Science Fiction, Historical, Horror. In each of these categories, my favourite is:

Drama: Titanic
Children: The Sound of Music
Comedy: Airplane
Science Fiction: Invasion of the Bodysnatchers (the 1978 version with Donald Sutherland)
Historical: Triumph of the Will
Horror: Theatre of Blood
