I have a long-standing problem which makes intercourse excruciatingly painful. I have been told about coconut oil being an excellent moisturiser/healer. I have seen various consultants who say my Fibromyalgia is causing this problem (vestibulodynia) Is coconut oil likely to improve anything ? I’m at my wits end ! (My husband and I share this account, hence the profile)
It is a new diagnosis to me and I have, to my shame, Googled it.
From what i can understand ,as the cause is unknown, then you have nothing to lose in trying coconut oil.
I have no idea if it will work....try it and let us know.
As it is supposed to be an abnormality or hypersensitivity of the nerves, i would have thought an anesthetic cream might be with a try e.g lignocaine cream.
woofy...interesting question.
Depends: if the male wants to prevent premature ejaculation, or indeed prolong intercourse, then it would be an advantage...as in porn films. But yes, woofy you are correct, it will make the act less enjoyable (sensitive) for the male.
Using a contraceptive would be the answer if he was concentrating on his own pleasure.
I have vulvodynia which is not quite the same as it is almost continuous burning pain. No known cause but it did start after I had a prolapse operation.
My gyneacologist has prescribed amitriptyline low dosage. Been on them 3 weeks and definite improvement. She said no creams and just wash with water.
Know it is not the same as yours but amitriptyline might help.
