Whats the best exercise equipment for burning calories and toning your legs, bum and thighs (im pear shaped) any suggestions?

Rower and cross trainer give great results in these areas.

I agree with alijangra, the cross trainer is amazingly good cardio equipment, and the results on your thighs and bum are especially fabulous. Unlike running it is low impact so alot easier on your knees and spine.
an air walker
I got a fold away bike for about �70, its great, i just pull it out whenever i've got a spare half hour and pedal away in front of the Tv... It gets me out of breath and i work up a sweat! Much cheaper than joining a gym and you can do it in ya underwear... make sure your curtains are closed though..Its great fun.!!! I was wanting to tone up my thighs, it seems to be working and also good for the love handles i've discovered!x

Thanks all - got a bike, so i think i will purchase the crosstrainer.
All you need to do is buy a ball and/ or a hacki-sack each costing about 3 or 4 quid! The ball is good for playing footy with and the hacki-sack is good for improving your touch, flexibility and balance!
