Unknown Administrator Password - Window 8
Back in February, Beunchico and The Builder very kindly helped me gain access to a Vista computer left to a friend by his sister, who had passed away. She also had a Windows 8 computer, which has the same problem. The reason for the delay in asking this question is that I've been trying to find a charger that fits it. Now I have the charger, I've tried the same method as with Vista, but that doesn't work. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Thanks for the idea, Buenchico. I've given this one a go, but, unfortunately, as soon as it got to the point of actually doing anything with the password, it needed to be paid for. I was helping to help my friend out without expending any money - cheeky, I suppose. At least I'm confident this will work, if I do go for the paid-for version.
When I was working on the Vista computer, you suggested Livewire as a way to just remove the password, but that doesn't seem to work on this computer either.
If anybody has ideas of free software I could use for this, I'd be grateful for the suggestions.

That's weird! It's always been free, with just 'donations invited' as the developer's policy (and even that is no longer in place).
