Doctor's Again
13 Answers
Does anybody have this problem. Went to doctor's this am and I was with her about 2 months ago and her and I know each other well but like I don't go to her all the time. That last time 2 months ago was the first in about 4 years.
Well she said this morning - what can I do for you. Hey you told me to come back in 2 months time for tests, I had to tell her the list - oh right.
does your doctor know what your symptoms are and you don't have to tell him/her.

My doc always has notes to refer to from bygone appointments. He then ask's me how i'm feeling referring to previous ailments. "how are you getting on with so and so"
I've never had to remind the doctor what's wrong with me, or what they may have had to prescribe. they do however, usually ask for an update, almost like a status report from the horses mouth.

I was doing a GP locum one night, when a Chinese patient who owned a Chinese restaurant came in and thanked me for getting him into hospital so quickly. when i looked at his notes, it wasn't me but one of the practice partners. When i explained that it wasn't me, he apologised, saying
" You all look the same to me."

My GP usually asks how my cat (previously cats) are and if I've seen my brother lately. I have no idea how he remembers my name when I bump into him in town.
I once got him to write out complicated instructions for coming off one drug and going on another. He wrote me a nice note and handed it to me - when I went to read it the writing looked as if it was written in Arabic or Hebrew.
