Boris Johnstone Is A Disgrace......

...and it will be a disaster if he becomes PM. He was one of the Bullingdon Boys who used to hold parties to celebrate the demise of the miners, their communities, their jobs and their industry. Openly celebrating the fact that there would be hardship and unemployment brought upon the miners by the policies of the Tyranical Traitor Thatcher. He is a callous, uncaring, disgusting person. How anyone would want such filth even in politics, never mind as PM, is beyond the imagination. Apart from that, everything's fine thanks.

Indeed. Exciting opportunities to watch the bailiffs taking away their possessions whilst the man of the house, crushed and depressed at losing his pride, turned to alcohol as a comfort.
I firmly believe the miners brought pit closures on themselves through wage demands which made coal economically unviable. But to call what they went through an opportunity to forge a different future is crass and naive.

No, Zacs, I'm not suggesting it was an option. What I'm saying is that although they would not recognise it, the closure of the industry did them and their descendants a big favour. Their option was to try and turn what they viewed as a disaster into an opportunity because there was no other option open to them.

True, but a lot of people do not or cannot trust him based on his error prone ways especially at such a crucial time in UK politics.
Personally, I find a lot of the insults hurled at him as petty and narrow minded.
There are plenty of alternatives on the other side of the house that do not bear thinking about....

None of them are currently pitching to become the next leader of the country without facing any public vote, despite having previously criticised such a process when it did involve those 'on the other side of the house', i.e. Gordon Brown.

YEP.
He is almost certainly simply trying to win a bet with David Cameron.
They bet one another to see who could create the worst disaster to the Uk. This was whilst they were in the Bullingdon Club.
David Cameron is winning, by a country mile. But he is now powerless, whilst Boris may have his "finest" hour.
Bear in mind, that is you who is going to pay that "fine".
