OH was very touched to receive a card from the lady who should have been his daughter-in-law if one of his sons hadn't acted so badly by her as to be cast out of the rest of the family (we have all helped her and she's a lovely lady who has been there a long time). It's the first Father's day card he has ever received. Almost, not quite, teary. He has counted her as a daughter for a long time. Hard to produce a card specifically for this situation!

We have just lit candles for our dads. My brother and his wife in the UK.....she lost her dad recently....and us here in Ireland.
Our dad died suddenly two days before Father's Day fifty one years ago....x
