Have received a message purporting to be from paypal stating 'payal would like to contact you about a recent visit to a web site' - it came in facebook messenger - my paypal account is linked to messenger. Any ideas please?

Just log in to Paypal to see if there is a message for you. I doubt there will be though. Then ignore the message you received and just go off what your paypal account says (probably nothing)
