The emphasis of this course is on professional flower arranging/floristry. You will learn how to present fresh and preserved plant material and the theory and practice of flower arranging/floristry. Over the course, you will build up a reference folder of notes, handouts and drawings and a core design unit looking at colour, texture and their effect on the craft. Every week you will watch a demonstration and have the chance to do a project in the same style in the next class. Final assessment involves working with a range of methods of display and producing three different decorations.
