Nosebleed Cauterised

After two heavy nosebleeds and being in hospital the consultant has now cauterised my nose. However it feels there is a large scab in both nostrils opposite each other although he only cauterised one ... Could the'silver nitrate go through to the other nostril? Odd question I know!!

There shouldn't be a "huge scab" in either nostril.
No idea why you should feel that......but don't pick it.
The silver nitrate COULD go through the septum to the other side, but that would be "botched" and i couldn't imagine a Consultant being that ham fisted.
