Hi, having problems with a shower cutting off half way through showering. We were flipping a switch back on at the electricity cupboard and it cam e back on. Now it's not even coming on. I understand it's tripping off for a reason, but why?
And of course an MCB tripping indicates that the circuit has suffered a current in excess of its design load whereas an RCD protects against earth leakage by detecting any imbalance between the live and neutral legs of the circuit.
Hiya, thanks for the further replies x
Brother is having a look at it now, he’s taken apart the pull cord box on the ceiling and there’s some burnt parts in there, he seems to know what the fault is, thanks everyone!
