Why Feel The Need

When some people post, and make a type error, or spelling mistake, as anyone can from time to time, why do you feel the need to then post the correction ? most level headed, and sensible people will understand, and get your drift of what you are saying, or asking.

I think it is internet etiquette not to go around correcting people's spelling and grammar errors.

I make them sometimes, a combination of predictive text and typing too fast, and I think it's distracting when people post simply to correct errors when the sense and meaning is unaffected.

If nobody ever gave a helping hand with correcting mistakes we might all END up typing in RANDOM capitals!!! or moot.

Because one is being forced to show the error and look idiotic forevermore because one isn't allowed to correct it; and one can only get partial respite from that torment by correcting in a separate post as soon as possible afterwards. But surely this is obvious.
