A year or two back a moslem father ,in this country, complained about the TV series Peppa Pig. He was outraged that his daughter was subjected to a vision of a banned porker according to his Islamic doctrines. If a religion can show such intolerance to a cartoon pig and it’s meat produce whilst in a Christian country how do you honestly expect a homosexual to be embraced as President in a Moslem country that still criminalises his unlawful practise there?

All this talk of Tunisia reminded me of the Barbary wars between the US and the Ottoman satrapies on the North African coast ("...the shores of Tripoli" etc). The Bey of Tunis sent a colourful ambassador to treat with Jefferson. This gave us the "first iftar dinner at the White House" story.
