It wasn’t the arrival and erection of the new shed.....or the lovely shed man offering to re-roof our existing shed.....

It was the shed man taking away with him the eight hundred boxed white wall tiles that I’ve been trying to get shot of since March. Heavy though they were it took me about ten minutes to load them onto his truck before he changed his mind......bliss....... :-)

Toorak.... Sherr has to often explain the origin of the things pet name and the cat in the hat...and always does so politely.
To be likened to the couple who abused their children was beyond the pale.....that was very wrong and hurtful....x
She, who has a user name, hasn’t taken umbrage - it’s a lot stronger than that. The thread was about bliss (which you and GG have sucked out of it), not unwarranted suggestions about how I refer to my children. If I post a thread asking for suggestions about something, join in. Otherwise, I would appreciate it if you could keep your unsolicited suggestions to yourself or start a new thread about inappropriate ways people refer to their children or how they objectify them.

My son was named for a leader of the Easter Rising, Sherr and my daughter after an official document I had to carry during my years in Canada......I've just remembered some of the pet names I had for them....I won't post them though......I need to sleep....Night...x
I am not sure how this seems to have got poisonous - definitely not my intention=. I was only commenting 9n how something came actors :-(
Came across ^^^^
>>> Actually, I think my children have very nice first names and I would love to share them (but I won’t - obviously)

You actually told us the names of your boys back in 2013, Sherrardk, on a thread about choosing a name for a baby boy. (T, J & D). Since you clearly don't want them them mentioned here though, I won't provide a link (or quote their names in full).
Did I? ***.
I obviously can't provide a link, Sherrardk, but if you put their three names into the search box, then click on 'Answers', you'll see the thread I'm referring to. (I agree that they're nice names, too!)
Thank you - my girls’ names are pretty nice too :)
They're bound to be if you chose them ;-)
Shucks, you’ll make me blush
That's a result for both of you then Gness you get your rubbish taken away FOC and your shed man gets a few boxes of tiles.
urgent ... anyone know where i can lay my hands on 800 white wall tiles going cheap?
Did he take the grout away too, Gness...

this hoohah over Sherrard's kids' titles (and she is more than right) reminds me of the woman who went to Social Services and the questions began to fill if a form, reaching.....

'How many children do you have?'
'Ten'
'What are their names?'
'They're all called Jamie'
'What! They all have the same name - WHY?'
Well, it makes it easy when you want them. You just shout out Jamie at meal times and in they all come.'
What about if you want just one of them?'
'Then I use their father's surname.'
Which reminds me of Karen Matthews, the odious woman who arranged the “kidnapping” of her daughter. Two of her children were called ‘the twins’ because they had the same father.

Sorry, sherr. Not comparing you to any of these people. As I’ve said before I’m totally on your side.
