I have a new DVD recorder,how do I copy my video collection onto DVD disc.Is that an option,Ialso have a video recorder.I just need advice thanks.6568

Anyway - I set up a manual record, rather than videoplus or such like.
Set the date, time and when it comes to channel it will display the channel it is already set at.
I have 'up and down' arrows on my dvd remote that change channel.
If you press the down arrow it will come from Channel 5 through to BBC1. If you carry on, it will show the AV channels eventually.
Be prepared to experiment. Set it to record AV for 10 minutes, and play a video that you know is recordable.
If that has not worked try EXT1, EXT2 or AV2 until it does.
Mine is actually EXT2 but many setups use AV.
