Angel re-runs on Sky one

Did I miss something ? Having only really got into Angel around season 3 or 4 and having now caught up with all of the back episodes , i'm more than a little confused by friday 21st Julys episode. It just seemed to end quite abruptly and although I knew that season 5 was the last ever episodes , I thought that the way it ended meant that on monday there would be another episode but no - nothing. According to my tv guide , it's not being shown. So is that it ? Was that THE last episode ? Surely not !

yep it was. it finished that way, joss weedon was on with other projects and though he has left it open , it only looks like a potential (lol) spike spin off, i so wanted the Host (lorne) to be in somthing more.

You see , i'm a bit confused Dot because I tried not to read anything about what was in store for Season 5 but I couldn't help myself and pulled up the episodes for season 5 to read snippits of it but there should have been 22 episodes and yet only about three have been shown. I started watching the re-runs recently and Seasons 4 and 5 were shown as back to back episodes. The opening episode in Season 5 was Angel and the gang taking over the LA office of Wolfram and Hart and the reappearance of HArmony. Then there was the battle with the necromancer , Spike and Angel and the third episode was where Angel and co helped the girl who was bitten by the werewolf. So by rights , there should have been another 19 episodes to be shown. I read that Fred is killed and reappears as an evil double called Illyria but this hasn't been screened and there is no listing for Angel in the tv guide. Now you see why I am confused.

I think sky one stopped playing angel because the kids have broke off from school. Sci-fi channel is showing reruns.

Thanks bonbon. That's spot on. I checked with Sky and they emailed me to say that due to the content , viewing has been paused for the moment but will recommence when the kids go back to school. I can't understand why they still show Buffy though in the morning. Is Angel really that much darker ? Oh well , my beloved Angel will be back soon enough. I'll get to see how this series ends yet lol !
