I’ve got lost in so many buildings because the numbering was ridiculous. The worst that comes to me now is trying to find my tutor room on the first day of secondary school. I saw room E4, I needed E3.
It was the other end of the building! How did everyone else find it?

When I was teaching, Cloverjo, the classrooms in our building were being redecorated and we teachers were invited to choose the colour schemes for our classrooms.

However there were no numbers on the classroom doors and nobody thought to tell the decorators that a small science prep room was included in the numbering scheme. So everyone whose classroom came after that prep room ended up with the colour scheme that belonged next door to their own classroom. For example, I wanted the back wall of my classroom to be painted pillarbox red but I got pastel blue and my neighbour got a bright red wall instead of a pastel shade.

In answer to JimF @ 23.37: Yes, I think it's really funny. As a non-voter. I didn't vote because it won't make any difference to the ordinary people, whether we're in or out. Others stand to gain one way or the other, but not us, the great unwashed.

I love good, honest people who are fun
I love good food, wine.
I love the countryside and give me a good, cosy inn.
I love good sport like the ICC final or the 3rd round of the Open last week
Give me a good book, a drawing pen and paper, or an antique or interior design shop to wander around and I'm happy.
