Harassed by a fly

When a flying bug harasses you, how much control does it have over its movements? Does it really know its bugging the hell out of you? Or is it just trying to get away but cant fly straight for long enough?

i believe it is in their genes. some flies just go about their buisness, not bothering anyone, whilst with others it is their sole intention to bug the **** out of us!
they proberly have competions to see who can annoys us the most!

rofl. I've thought this myself because we've been getting so many recently.

I kill the flies because they simply don't allow me to do whatever I am doing. I also wonder if i kill them quickly with a newspaper will it hurt them or be so quick and fast that they wont feel it. I know its "only a fly" but it's still a living thing.
