my husband has run off to a new country with a foreign woman. he is in debt with is credit cards, finding out that he has built 84 flats he is going to rent out where do i stand within my rights on claiming part of these buildings. and will his credit card debts fall on me. i have not seen a solicitor as yet, we have been seperated 7 months

I think it's going to be hard. Very hard depending on the country he has run off to. You should see a solicitor straight away.
If the debts are in only his name then you have no liability to the creditors for them and must not allow yourself to be harassed into making any payments. However, if you divorce they might come into the decision on how the assets and liabilities are to be split, especially if you or the family have had any benefit from the expenditure.

Do see a solicitor and - if you wish - start divorce proceedings. The finances will need to be sorted out as part of the divorce.
