We have just purchased a Kodak 6440 digital camera but the LCD preview screen is so dim it is almost unusable. Does anybody else have this problem or do we a faulty camera ?

I don't know about your specific camera, but mine has a brighness/contrast control for the screen. Could you have accidently altered this on your camera? The control is probably tucked away in a menu somewhere.
