Wheel Rim Protectors

You can buy wheel rim protectors in various colours. Is it possible to fit them yourself, or do you need to take them to a tyre specialist. Would you need each wheel to be balanced after. TIA.

Thanks for that Tony I have heard about a different fit rim protector. The strip is tucked in on the inside edge of the wheel rim up against the tyre bead.

Just try not to kurb the wheel, much cheaper.
