Any Abers who have owned one of these? I've seen one for sale (2009, 58,000 miles, £2,000 in a private sale), and am wondering if it's worth pursuing...

It's a tiny mileage for a ten year old vehicle. Make sure it has a full service history and ask to see its most recent MOT. If both are fine, it sounds like a bargain.

Thanks for the replies. Good reviews at Autoexpress, and I like that there's no road tax!

Has an MoT till next June, but, of course, I don't know of any 'advisories'.

No idea, never drive anything with over 30K on the clock, and that's 30K that I've put there.
'Chuckles'.
Douglas .. I can see your shoulders going up and down.

That's just wind.
Ahhhh, I wondered what was blowing smoke.
If you know the reg number you can use this site to check the MOT history

Last year on the wifes birthday we headed off to Brighton for a day out. While the women did what they do, I had a glance around a car sales showroom.
The only car that stood out was the black IQ. I knew she was thinking about getting a small car and this fitted the bill in every way.
She bought some shoes and I bought her a surprise car. The end result being the car hasn't missed a beat, everyone loves it, when we park it strangers often want to have a look inside and ask no end of questions about it. It does around 50 mpg. It is the 6 speed, 1300cc model and £30 road tax. Great town car that turns in a 21 foot circle, 3 point turns are few and far betwwen. Happily cruises at 70mph. Masses of leg room for two, but a litle crammed for four. Rear seats fold down and are usualy left in that position.
All in all we would definitely buy another, but remember it's a Toyota, it will last forever.

Thanks, alavahalf. I've always liked the look of these cars, and can't understand why Toyota gave up on them after five years - they're much better-looking than the boring Aygo etc. Glad you had a good experience with it.
I love them, they're a good car but most of all they're cute;-)
