Sweden - Refuge - Young Woman - Harassment

If a young woman refuge sleeps in streets of Sweden, will she be exposed to rape, sexual harassment or any kind of hurt like what happens in Muslim countries or Middle East?

Can't speak for Sweden but certainly women on the streets in the UK are vulnerable to all sorts of abuses of the type you mention above.

I do not live in Sweden so i have no idea.

All i know about Sweden is that is is quite evolved regarding acceptance and gender equality.

For these reasons i would say Sweden would probably provide better asylum for a women or homeless women, compared to somewhere such as Egypt.

Where did you get your information regarding attitudes to women in the middle east?

I am no expert on homelessness in Sweden but I would imagine a young women sleeping on the streets would be vulnerable in almost any country. Especially considering that homelessness so often goes hand in hand with addiction problems, mental health problems or history of abuse.

I suppose it is how you are brought up...if you aren't brought up to respect women then you won't and will treat them badly. Wonder how many women actually live on the streets in Egypt. Presume there are homeless shelters for the too.

I don’t wish to ask you leading questions but am I correct in thinking you are an Egyptian female (religion not known) who believes a woman may be less vulnerable from the ravaging and abuse of Egyptian men by seeking refuge in Sweden. If I am correct are you aware that females in Sweden have found themselves increasingly abused by male muslim asylum seekers there?

first of all i am a male christian egyptian, but a female girl has been always obessed by society and her muslim family, now she had to run away (she is non-religion by the way but believes in God) and my family decided to help her until she leaves out of Egypt, but sadly me and my family don't know anything about immigration,
she always tells me:-

and if you are right that muslims in sweden don't abuse females in sweden that isn't because of religion it's because of law in sweden,
but most muslim contries female is just a sex machine or a toy.
even muslim in foregin countries try to make the female just a toy,

The law in Sweden is fine and protective of females of any religion or nationality. It has to be said, though denied by some on this site, that sexual assault and abuse of females has increased since western European countries have opened their doors to male muslims who seek asylum. I guessed, somehow, you or friend may have been Christian. That is why I wrote religion unknown. I am sure Christians are persecuted in most muslim countries and Christian may have genuine cause for their request for asylum to be considered favourably in most civilised European countries.
