Good Morning Early Birds!

Tuesday. Cloudy and windy this morning. I'm being picked up at noon by the lady I lunch with. It's her turn to drive and decide where to go. Where we are going I have no idea, she won't tell me. I'll find out when we get there. My turn next month. Where, I have somewhere in mind. We shall see.

Club last night was very good. We had a talk by a Blood Biker. It's a nation wide organisation of bikers who are volunteer workers, they are not part of the NHS, they move blood and transplant organs all over the country for the NHS. He told us of one particular job where a pair of corneas had to go from North Scotland to Cornwall. Using fourteen riders they delivered them in 12 hours! He had his bike for us to see, a BMW 1100cc, Blue lights and sirens, cold panniers, but they don't have the same rights as the police to use bus lanes and ignore red lights etc. They are trying to get the government to change that. They are all volunteers and get no financial help at all. An amazing organisation.
