Starlings At Asda

Why do so many starling hang about in Asda's car park (Wembley way)? They perch on trolleys, and are amazingly tame. What are they up to?

Am plagued with crows that have raided my fruit trees. I have an overflow from cistern that they hoard around. I think theyre after fluid rather than fruit.
