Answers have a letter added or deleted. Each clue has an extra word.

Preamble is a little confusing for me.
The extra words have to be treated the same.
Does it mean you add or remove a letter from extra words?
For 1a, you can take out A from extra word. For 8a, you can add B to extra word.

I am still trying to figure out 37a, 41a, 42a and 43a.

Each row has the same letter either added or subtracted, hankir (and it goes alternately + - + - +...).
For the first first row it's minus 'd' (from dALLIANCE and dITS).
When a letter is added it's always a double - like the 2xU in 39, and the 2xE in 22 (these clues give CARDUS and ONER before modifications).

My question was for the end game.Do we have to do anything with extra words?
What is need to find the phrase.

just look at the letters you've added and subtracted in order hankir.

...for neatness, if you take all of the dropped words in sequence and go - + - + -.... all of the letters from the alphabet in order, you make new words each time 'man(-A)ger' 'nob(+B)le' '(-C)hosen' 'lad(+D)ies'...
