Moving Back from the Sun

My parents moved to Spain more than 10 years ago to live a more relaxed life in the sun after working since they were in their teens. For the most part it was a good decision. However, Dad passed away almost 4 years ago now and Mum would really like to come back to the UK - retirement in Spain can be incredibly lonely for a widow. Is there anybody that has any advice on doing this - a major problem is that the house prices have gone up here far far more than in Spain and it is looking like this may be the biggest problem. Are there any organisations that can help people in my mothers situation?

Speak to your local counsils housing dept for advice. Also worth looking at are the Elderly Accommodation Counsel's website and the Age Concern website.
