A man is savagely beating you with a baseball bat. He is hitting you as hard as he can, striking your shins, upper arms, forearms, and hips. After twenty blows, he has become tired, and the blows he continues to rain down on you are less powerful and occur at a slower rate. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?
it's a good thing that the blows are less powerful and less frequent as they'll cause less damage. it's a bad thing that you ended up in this situation in the first place.
O I C - this is one of those puzzles then, The obvious answer is that it's a bad thing.
We would normally assume it to be a good thing that eh slows down because we read the first part to mean he is attacking us, but the twist is that he is doing it for a beneficial reason so to slow down is a bad thing. see what i mean? now the 64000 dollar question - why would he hit us in a beneficial way? errr.......
If this person is doing this through beer or road rage the reason he slows down is because he is unfit, with this comes a calm down effect as the adrenalin is used up .Unless the person has mental problems in which he shows no remorse in this case he will probably find some other way to carry on beating you!
