Uploads To Icloud Not Showing On Ipad

I’ve had all my photos and files taken from my old laptop and uploaded to the iCloud on my iPad.

With some of the pictures and videos I can’t seem to see them and all I get is, “Windows Video” and a blank screen.

What do I need to download to enable me to see these old videos and pictures? TIA.

was the old laptop a windows one? because windows may have saved the video in its own non mac format.

Yes. The old laptop was a Windows one.

If that’s the case does it mean I can’t see the old pics and vids? The old laptop, died.

It should be possible to convert them but not sure if it can be done on an ipad

Chrissa I have just had a google and converter apps do exist however I can't suggest one as I have never needed to use one.

you might post again asking for recommendations or go and look in the ipad app store and find one that has good ratings and reviews

Have you checked the settings for iCloud? Plus are you sure that the photos were there? For instance did you purchase extra storage or are you using the free 5GB that icloud give? A photo album would soon use up this capacity. Do you have your ipad "synced" with the laptop? You could try this.

This is also worth a read through. It shows an iphone in the graphics but the controls on a ipad are very similar.

The issue will be the formatting, as suggested.
You’d have to convert the videos and pictures to a compatible format for iOS.
The actual share is working, as you can see something.

Good luck with it Chrissa. One of the links gave access to an icloud "manager" that looked safe, but like Woof I cannot recommend because I have not used it.
