Seasonal eczema and infective eczema.
11 Answers
My daughter is very down at the moment as she has had a pretty awful flare-up of her seasonal eczema. Since her teens she has had it from almost every November through until around March. It distresses her when it's on her face. At the moment she has a flare-up of infective eczema, seemingly over her whole body. She has tried antihistamines, steroid creams, chinese herbal teas. She avoids eggs which she has a mild allergy to. I only use non-bio washing liquids. She has had very basic allergy tests. She saw an immunologist years ago who was no help whatsoever, and dermatologists have just confirmed it is eczema & given her various creams & potions; none of which have proved very benficial.
This is beginning to get her down - it will soon disappear with the advent of Spring, but she knows more than likely it will recur in the late autumn. Has anyone any suggestions, tips, advice?

I was prescribed it after a nasty bout of cellulitis in my leg salla ,which left me with horrible itchy scabby ,scaly skin .It worked a treat .So much so that I use it on a regular basis now for everything .Even as a hand cream and general all over moisturiser .
If my skin feels a bit dry and itchy as it is prone to do in this cold weather ,where you you bunged up with clothes and central heating ,I use it to shower and wash with .It's not like a soap and doesn't lather ,but ,it gets you clean and the antibacterial thingys in it prevent infection from the itch scratch cycle .
I am prone to dry itchy skin in my dotage and it's the best thing I have ever tried .
My GP's specialty field is dermatology so I was quite confident when he said it was good stuff :)

The real trick with eczema for kids is to take care of the itch. You do not need drugs, steroids, or bleach. Try a product called Regen. It is all natural and will not sting your childs eyes. Took care of my kid's itch and eczema! Here is a pic: http://blog.oli-co.com/?p=547 Good Luck, SUz
