I'm really struggling to think what to get my son for his 9th birthday. He's not into construction toys, has remote control cars he doesn't play with, but wants a remote control hovercraft, which I'm not keen on as I think the novelty will wear off. He loves rugby and football, but has got enough kit. Can anyone come up with anything I can realistically get him before Thursday? Thanks
Trampoline is a great idea, lizwizz. Our neighbours have one and the kids are on it all day, friends of theirs are always around, they love it. Plus it's healthy - all that fresh air and excercise to boot!!
Well if you wanted something not sporty then a microscope can be very fascinating for a young child, or alternatively a telescope, and might start them off with a lifelong interest
A metal detector, it can be great fun for kids and really addictive, and it gets them outside. We had great success after thinking it would wear off quite quickly. If you place a couple of 'finds' stategically around it keeps the interest up. ever wondered what to do with that awful bracelet your mother in law bought you? dig a whole and chuck it in , the kids would be delighted to find it for you...... several months/years later ..tee hee
