Slightly different version from a far lesser mortal:

The new tactic of expunging comments, ribald and irreverent though they may be, without even an 'answer removed' label to note their passing, signals the end of this particular era.

Is this a flounce?
Question Author
No bednobs, you can't. I shall miss you.
Would somebody please post the 'Flounce' form
Sometime when you're feeling important;
Sometime when your ego 's in bloom;
Sometime when you take it for granted,
You're the best qualified in the room:
Sometime when you feel that your going,
Would leave an unfillable hole,
Just follow these simple instructions,
And see how they humble your soul.

Take a bucket and fill it with water,
Put your hand in it up to the wrist,
Pull it out and the hole that's remaining,
Is a measure of how much you'll be missed.
You can splash all you wish when you enter,
You may stir up the water galore,
But stop, and you'll find that in no time,
It looks quite the same as before.

The moral of this quaint example,
Is to do just the best that you can,
Be proud of yourself but remember,
There's no indispensable man.
Has he not gone yet?
retrocop at 10.50, superb!
That poem is brilliant, never seen it before but it's called
"The Indispensable Man" and written by Saxon White Kessinger in 1959.
i would have paid credit to Saxon White Kessinger
Sorry I didn't credit to the rightful poet. I thought it was well known. Obviously not
She was a very interesting lady.
I've not seen it before, retrocop.
the poem - oh god it is worse than Desiderata found in a church 1691

you know......
Be quiet in your heart as the world goes by,
even the trite and boring have their story: Emmerdale

and on and on

My brudda was indispensable - Paul Pedant - along with a vietnamese - Wun Long Writ they sued Toronto Sick kids for employment malpractice. It was agreed that immigrants should do so as the ethnic canadians thought they would be victimised in their careers ! - ooer - dr ! ( 1975)
Seems shocking to say so now - doctors would victimise juniors - I am sure it is different now

Corbyn is indispensable innit?
to a conservative victory, hur hur hur
Belated thanks for posting the form, Jo. Anyone know who originally came up with it? Always makes me smile :)
the form has been around a year or two
I didnt realise that someone had kept one

came up when people protested they hadnt been harassed
and harassment application forms started appearing

[I got screwed for harassment in my last year at work when I complained our admin were hopelessly incapable idle clock watchers. my union rep didnt allow me to plead a defence of truth]
//the form has been around a year or two …. [it] came up when people protested they hadnt been harassed and harassment application forms started appearing//

That’s not right. The form has been around for quite a number of years and there’s also a very clever ‘Flounce Renounce’ form featuring a revolving door. Both, I think, were designed by ‘Snags’ – but I might be wrong on that. No doubt someone will correct me if I am.
It was Snags and it has been around for years.
Thanks ummmm.
