Computer training
3 Answers
Has anybody done computer training from home via companies like this www.adventtraining.co.uk ? Do they work? Does it do exactly what it says on the tin? Or is it better to actually attend college of some sort. My son wants to do things like Comp TIA A+, MCP, MCDST, etc (I'm sure that this will mean something to someone). I think it is a bad idea to train from home. I think that it needs a lot of discipline, i'm not sure my son has that. We are talking a few 1000's for this course. Any ideas anyone?

Later I tried an on-line course the hospital offered which I didn't find too great but that was mostly down to the fact that when asked to perform a function it had to be done in a specific way although shortcuts could be used. If the thing wasn't done 'correctly' the bl**dy thing marked a fail.
Many thanks Edwardian, have passed details on to my son.
Sligachan: thank you for your input too, this is the sort of thing i am fearful about, especially when 1000's are at stake. My son wants to be "certified" ( i have always told him this) so i guess a do it yourself book would not be sufficient.
