When I was a child dinner ( Sunday's) was always 12 noon/ 12-30 to the strains of Two way Family Favourites on the radio, then I was scrubbed clean and put into my 'Sunday Best ' to go to Sunday School for 1-45, dinner was always a roast and followed by either rhubarb or apple pie that was home made with custard, tea was sandwiches and scones, again ,home made,
Now we don't have ours till about 6 pm and not always a roast, may even be a curry and now no one goes to Sunday School anymore :0)

First one had 'made arrangements' and then the other. In the end it just wasn't worth the shopping for the joint and veg ,preparing and washing up just for two of us. The Spoons, had a reasonable Sunday Roast at that time so the wife and I just ate up there until they stopped. Now we have anything out the freezer which has been home made and pre-cooked. Chilli,Curry,Traybake.etc.
I used to enjoy Two Way Family favourites,Billy Cotton, Round the Horn on Sundays.
