What is the best way to empty and fill a bean bag with the tiny polystyrene balls ? I washed my outer coverings yesterday and now I have balls everywhere. Can't get rid of the little blighters they stick to every thing. Clean answers only please :)
empty into a plastic bag.....bin bag if necessary. When all is clean cut a hole in a corner of the bin bag and treat the bin bag like an icing bag....if necessary use rubber bands to attach the clean bag to the back of a chair (assuming you have 2 bits that stick up) or to 2 legs of an upturned stool ....good luck!!
I did that exactly over the bath with corner cut off bin bag. . But the open part is not large enough to put over anything. So I was trying to hold binbag over opening but it was impossible in practice
Put the bean bag zipper slightly into a bin bag. When it’s in, open the zip and slowly pull bag out of bean bag whilst shaking it, holding bun bag by the tip rim
So it doesn’t fall over. To get back in to bean bag do opposite, put bin bag rim into bean bag
while the beanbag is empty, use an old sheet to make a liner the same size as the bag. Put the beads in the liner and sew it up. A corner of the liner will go into even a small zip hole and you can work the rest of the liner and the beans in. You will never have the bean fight again.
Try a Youtube search for 'fill bean bag'. There are loads of videos on the subject. I'm not embedding one here though, as I can't work out which one might be best for you.
Thank you all. I did a u tube search Chris. As I say the problem is you really need one person to hold the bag opening open and one person to fill. Otherwise the opening can move or the filling bag can move. This is what happened. Hence a mess every where x
