seriously I have a friend who owns a horse and get some inside info and other than this I very rarely risk a bet...unless you're going to spend ages studying form and getting to know trainers and jockeys then your as well sticking a pin in the paper....there is no such thing as a reliable racing system....if there was it would have been found by now and load of cash made, so either start studying or keep your cash in your pocket.
Here's an answer 'from the horse's mouth', nearly. I'm from a racing family , in Newmarket, and am a registered owner. Here's what my old father, a big owner in those days, said about betting shops " Just think. There are people in there poring over the racing pages and they think they know that my colt is going to win today. How the H*** do they know ? I don't know and I own the thing and I see everything there is to know about it ! " (And that was when the animal was trying !).Officially every animal is at its best and tries its best; in practice it cannot be always so and no trainers enter all animals at all times at the perfect distance on the perfect going; and if they can run it a bit 'off' and get a better weight in the handicap next time, believe me they will. It goes for all of us.There is no such thing as a racing certainty even if everything else was certain about animals and men !
