I'd still with Sqad or your own GP if you have any doubts.
First of all, I cannot think of any medical condition that would necessitate the taking of zinc or even why it it is beneficial as a supplement.........seen, in a lifetime of general medical practice.

But that isn't the question.

I know of no common drug interaction with zinc.
sqad, calmagzinc sorts my leg cramps
woofy....LOL....I was waiting for your reply....;-)
well I hate to disappoint :) I have no idea why it works but it does and I don't even have to believe it will.
I have got Achenbach Syndrome (self diagnosed after an idiot GP told me it was chilblains) so that may have something to do with it....
don't take it with copper or you'll end up brassed off.

The reason I ask is I would like to take vit c and zinc during the winter months so as to, keep colds at bay
there is zero evidence that it will do anything but knock yourself out
Question Author
Vit C alone helped keep colds at bay some what, last winter, but was told its better with zinc
fruitsalad, causation does not imply correlation
See here for the evidence (or lack of it) about zinc and the common cold:

I haven't had a cold in many many years- even when the rest of the family has. It does seem to be about immune response (mostly about oestrogen). Keeping yourself well and healthy in general is about as much as you can do, although will still not guarantee against viruses.
