Wine Buffs Look Away Now

We had a lovely meal in one of the many restaurants here in palachora,
I am not a wine person I prefer a pint of Guinness,
During the meal we ordered white wine it was absolutely lovely,
When I went to pay I said how much We enjoyed the meal,
Thank you for that and the wine,yes says I it was lovely
Our special for special customers he said,
On leaving one of the young waiters said you will get that wine in the local supermarket,and told me the name , I got it for 2euro a litre.
Things like that make a holiday worthwhile.

Certainly did read your post first. If a 2 Euro bottle of wine makes your holiday worth while then I think that's rather sad.

I don't suppose you would like directions to the Palace of Knossos or perhaps the British War Graves Cemetry at Suvla Bay.
Perhaps a drive up the mountains into the village where they do fantastic Lamb on the spit. Price per kilo. Bit of history. The Germans massacred them because the SAS nicked a General of theirs. The church still stands and is magnificent.
