Cocodamol And Lorezapam Dentist This Afternoon

Hi there I got a phone call yesterday giving me a cancellation for the 2nd part of my root canal treatment today. I normally take 8mg Lorezapam in divided doses as a premed. However I have had a horrendous sore back and I have been taking cocodamol 30/500 I have taken 5 over the last 24 hours last dose 2 at midnight. Now I've been online and read that the two can interact quite badly. How long does cocodamol stay in your system for. I can reduce it to 6mg and take first dose at 10am and then 90 minutes before the appointment at 330. I don't want to cancel as my mother will go mad at me as she told me to take paracetamol but that didn't do a thing for the pain I am worried I might be risking my life if I do this or am I being dramatic

Effective dose of co-codamol should be out of your system in a couple of hours.
Which is more important to you.....premedication or relief of pain from you horrendous backache? If relief of worry is more important, then drop the co-codamol, if relief of pain, then drop of the lorazepam.

If there is someone who can go with you then, continue your normal regime of lorazepam and cocodamol.

Thanks Sqad you are very calm and sensible. Relief from anxiety is more important to me I will just have to put up with the pain until after the procedure. I haven't taken any cocodamol since midnight my dad is going to go with me, I think i just panicked when I read on the internet about an interaction between the two but I think that is what happens when untrained eyes go looking like me and try to interpret stuff. Thanks Sqad I will take my lorazepam as prescribed and stay off the painkillers until after the procedure how does that sound?
