Hematoma On Leg

Good Morning.
Some of you may recall a few months ago I had a trauma to my lower leg that resulted in a huge Hematoma, around 12 inches long and 6 inches wide. Most of this turned colour and disappeared but I've been left with a lumpy blueish purple patch around 5 inches by 3 inches that is slightly painful to the touch but not hot. I was given a course of Amoxicillin when the injury happened and am pretty sure its not infected.
How long can I expect it to take to disperse?
Would massage help or is this contra-indicated?
Any home remedies that may be of help? I've recently read mentions of Covens on here lately, so wonder if anyone can advise me on a potion that may help < ducks> PS that last bit was a joke.

Thanks Bobbi, Came on to ask this question but have got sucked into giving my pennyworth on a few threads. Must get back to work . Hopefully someone can help, will look back in tonight.
It may always be there as the haematoma may well be well and truly organised....that is has been infiltrated by fibrous tissue in the healing process.
I would not advice any treatment.....just leave well alone.

Thanks Sqad. Not good news, means I'll have to let go my alter ego Eileen Dover . I will never look good in a pair of fishnets now.
Frank, there is a member of the coven who has a spell/potion for haematomas, can’t recall who it is though, sorry .
