Any ideas on parsing for 16a?
He's freed from example of one (capital punishment) (5)
I have TRO?E
Chambers has TRONE as a place of punishment, which seems a bit loose.
I found this one unusually difficult. Can anyone help parse:
32 across (6) Turn over new leaf in bond? Tread softly
and
6 down (4) I like that (of some Chinaware being nicked). Help!
I have both answers and help gives away the second. But really can't see the wordplay Thanks
