Can we define what "supper" is?

Growing up I had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Supper was an occasional treat, a little snack before bed time.

If it were dinner I'm afraid I'd be rather boring and keep it a family affair. My husband, his parents and my parents.

Now if it were an AB dinner party, I'd have Talbot, Hereiam, Naomi, Rowanwitch and her beloved late husband, Redman (both of whom I've had the privilege of meeting a couple of times). I think the conversation would be something else, especially when the shots came out.
Being completely selfish. Four people who always entertained me and had a great story or two.

David Attenborough
Carrie Fisher
Douglas Adams
Peter Sellers

And joining me for the entertainment, my Dad, who I miss more the older I get.
I would invite my two wonderful (deceased) parents, Boris Johnson (to try and cheer him up), you Bobbi and naomi ! We would eat a roast dinner with all the trimmings (for Dad) with home made lemon meringue pie to follow and an extra desert (not sure what) in case not everybody likes lemon meringue ..

Lady CG, the further North you go Dinner time is around 12-1 then it’s tea time which is your dinner time ,around 6-7, so a supper, especially a grand affair with the best cutlery and China would take place around 9-30 pm , missing out the tea time meal and just snacking of course.
Arh, thank you HereIam ,I’d be honoured to accept too x

Haha, Sharon, prepped at 6-7
( it’s gunna be a long night ) haha
I had a think about this, and I can't be *** cooking for other people. Why should I run myself ragged in the kitchen while five other people just sit their feeding their faces at my expense, drinking my wine and brandy, then *** off home at 2am leaving me with the washing up. Then most times some clown will say they must have eaten something a bit dodgy last night round mine, as they've been up all night on and off the loo, of course this is nothing to do with the amount of drink they swallowed is it?, As for the company well, they will all be around my age discussing doctors appointments, what tablets their taking, their having problems sleeping, Hence I will be lucky if I get rid of them before 2am. Once their gone I will feel totally depressed, there will be wine stains on the carpet I guess and dinning chairs, and no one will own up to doing it. Then there's every chance someone wants to sleepover because her old man is to drunk to fetch her, so you got to make up a bed at 2am, plus they will expect you to be up at 8am to cook them a breakfast, and suffer them for another 3/4 hours before they ask you if you can give them a lift home.
