Long day & I'm very tired so vague on details, but just come on line and msm has an item saying that the boy's parents don't want her to be prosecuted. May be wrong, but I'm certain that was the headline. Also that the USA asked for a Georgian to be stripped of diplomatic immunity for a similar case some time ago - so there is a precedent.
The USA *never* give up their citizens for trial abroad - whether in the kangaroo courts of the People's Republic of Rumbabwe, or in the cradle of democracy here in the UK - they just don't.

In the old days this woman could have just quietly got on with her life - the US press wouldn't bother to cover the issue and so her anonymity would be quite safe in the good ole US of A.

I live in hope that, nowadays, she will be consumed by the internet social media whirlwind and she will hopefully be hounded from pillar to post and her life will become intolerable.

I'd put money on a 'leak' of the relevant footage if she doesn't find the streak of decency that would have her returning voluntarily to the UK.

Let us hope that Trump directs his great and unmatched wisdom to allowing justice to be done in this case. :/
Not being in the US at the time of the alleged crime it can't be US jurisdiction. I'm unsure whether the UK is trying him for breaking UK law. I assume not but I've not followed it that closely.

OG: "Not being in the US at the time of the alleged crime it can't be US jurisdiction." - oh yes it can. Look at that kid the other week who hacked the pentagon from his Bedroom in UK. Wikileaks violated US security laws, doesn't matter where the personnel are.

OG he's doing time for breaking UK law, when that's done he'll be handed over to the septics.

Oh dear!! The tin man comes to mind.
Then he shouldn't be, for the reasons stated.

IMO there's a difference between nationality and citizenship. One relates to birth location, the other to whatever nation claims one as their own.
Mr Trump is aware and acknowledges a young lad was killed in the UK by an American citizen who was driving on the wrong side of the road and fled the UK shortly afterwards. He stated that said woman will be interviewed. So far so good. Watch this space.
