Thinking About It.
Its been over twenty years ago that I had a short haired black Labrador pedigree at 13 weeks old from a gun dog breeder. When I went to view the pups, and parents, the breeders asked me what I wanted the pup for, I said a pet only, they said that they did prefer to let them go for working dogs, but cut a long story short, they let me have one, after a lot of questions, and were I lived, with a promise I would keep them informed of its progress for at least the following 12 months. Deal done, along with a large payment. Great dog and lived for 14 years.
But getting to the funny part, and a bit scary. Three or four months down the line, I bought an expensive pair of shoes, left them in the living room the same day on the floor, went out for a couple of hours, when I returned, in the middle of the room was just the sole of one of the shoes, and the other just were I'd left them. ( and I mean just the sole) with chewed up soggy remains of leather all over the floor, I was just cobb smacked to say the least :0).
The worry I had was how much as he swallowed, but he was still full of life and didn't seem in any trouble, apart from me, :0) any how I spent the next half hour rebuilding the remains of the leather back together as best I could, just to find out if any was missing, if so we knew were it would be, good news it was all there. :0) I wonder if this is my problem with buying shoes.??
