Hit American sitcom

Friends is my fav TV show and love it. For a hell alot of the epides I know what the actor is going to say next. Does any like the show as much as I do?

i like it. and i totally understand, even though i know whats coming next i'll still laugh my head off, but then im easily amused so my opinion probably doesnt count.

We have Sky and if of an evening I can't find anything particular I want to watch on telly I always pick Friends on E4 - boyfriend thinks I'm sad but then he also sits there and watches with me and laughs out loud even though we've probably seen the episode hundreds of times!!

It's very good up to about series 5. From season 6 onwards I found it started to grate that these people still hung out and did everything together, including having relationships within the group. It began to get a bit oppressive and disturbing, in fact! And too many of the storylines started to depend on one or other of them reacting really, really stupidly to situations. Yes yes yes I know it's just a sitcom but you have to have one foot in reality and be able to have some sympathy with the characters. There was a particular kind of comic spark it had up to series 5 that it lost after that. It also developed an over-reliance on the clipshow format.

But on the plus side, those first 5 seasons have some wonderful comedy, great acting and brilliant writing - the cringe-inducing "London" episodes aside.

when I heard they was offerd to do a 11th series I was happy to here they'd turned it down. I think series 10 ended well.
